If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a recent post where I admit that just finished my soon-to-be 1 year old daughter’s nursery. ¯\(ツ)/¯ She’s walking and (somewhat) talking now, but I got it done. lol So, without further ado….
I looovvveee beautiful art. I also looovvveee my coins, and I’d like to keep as many of them in my pocket as possible. When I was getting to the point in my life that I could actually start investing in great original art….BAM!….pregnant. LOL Just because most of our funds are reserved for diapers and onsies, doesn’t mean we no longer enjoy awesome art. There are other ways to incorporate great pieces of art in your home without breaking into baby’s piggy bank.
I debated on whether to add this topic to my latest “favorite trend” post, but I decided that I was feeling it so much that I’d just dedicate a Friday post to Green. It seems like every day I see a post with the color green front and center. And many times it is on kitchen cabinets!
My best girl, Amri, turns 1 year old next month and I decided that I would dedicate a giveaway in her honor. If you’ve been following for some time now, you know that I love nursery design. So, I’m super excited to be giving away an E-Design service for one lucky Momma or Poppa!
Wedding and graduation season is upon us and I love it. This time of year always feels like a blanket of joy to me. The weather is starting to get warmer and sunnier and it makes me want to break out the sundresses and sandals. I often have conversations with myself. (Don’t judge. So do you.) I said the above during the conversation while searching for design inspiration for this post. After I said it, I realized how poignant it was. I was describing how I feel when I see design that hits all my checkpoints. My breath catches in my chest a bit and it feels like my heart stops for a second. Dramatic- Yes! But True!
The entry to a home always feels like an introduction to me. Although the usual goal is “Welcome!”, sometimes it says, “What are you doing here?”, “Who invited you?”, “Were we expecting company??”, or *shrugs* “I guess you can come in.” Small entries are notoriously absent from the welcome wagon. However, just because you have a tiny entryway doesn’t mean you should skip the welcome. Here’s how you can teach your home’s small entry some manners.
The day has fiiiinnnnaaaalllly come for my site relaunch. It has taken a while because…life. (insert exhausted face here). All troubles and negative vibes aside, I am so very excited about the site’s new look! I’m also excited to bring new content to the blog.
